The project aims to transition from traditional teacher education curricula to future-oriented programs, implement national general education goals, integrate green and digital transformation methodologies, improve the quality of teacher education in Mongolia, and align the education system with European best practices.
The lead coordinator of this project is Otgontenger University, working in partnership with Transilvania University of Brașov in Romania, the University of Palermo in Italy, the educational cooperation organization CESIE, the Mongolian National University of Education, the Eastern Regional Branch of the National University of Mongolia, Khangai University, Darkhan Institute, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Education General Authority, and the National Institute for Educational Research.
As a result of the project, Mongolia will benefit from learning about European policies and innovative teaching approaches in teacher education. It will contribute to the development of new curricula aligned with Mongolia’s Teacher Education Strategy through 2032, green development goals, and digital transformation, while also strengthening the capacity of relevant institutions and localizing best practices for continuous professional development of teachers.
