Within the framework of the RETEACH project, the faculty team from the National University of Mongolia (NUM) - Eastern Regional Branch has revised and enhanced their bachelor’s and master’s teacher education programmes. The revision process was strictly based on the findings of a fact-finding analysis, a benchmarking study, and European best practices in teacher education. The team actively participated in curriculum development meetings and working group discussions aimed at updating programme structures, learning outcomes, and course content in line with competency-based education principles. To improve teaching and learning methodologies, the team promoted student-centered, digitally supported, and sustainability-oriented approaches. Innovative teaching methods—including active learning, collaborative learning, and blended learning strategies—were thoroughly discussed and integrated into the revised curriculum.
During weekly project team meetings, members drove the modernization of assessment approaches by advocating for competency-based methods and integrating formative assessment practices to more accurately reflect student learning outcomes.

Project team members presented the revision progress of both the Bachelor's and Master's programmes three times at the Programme Committee meetings of the Educational Studies Department. Following these updates, on May 13, the revised programmes were officially presented to the Programme Committee of the Eastern Regional Branch, where formal approval was granted to pilot these courses in the upcoming academic year.
