MELINC – MONTHLY BRIEF REPORT (P5, DORNOD STATE UNIVERSITY) 

APRIL 2021

01 April, 2021

Partnership Consortium Agreement, signed by the Rector of the Dornod University sent to the Project coordinator.

03 April, 2021

To get more informed about legislation on Inclusive education in Mongolia, some members joined the “Sustainable Development Goal 4 and Inclusive Education Policy in Mongolia” webinar, initiated by the Association of Parent’s with Disabled Children (APDC) of Mongolia.

05 April, 2021

Discussed the last version of updated equipment list for SEN center.
All of introduced and discussed issues at the Kick-off meeting on 30 March were delivered (R. Surlegmaa) to the working group members. The financial/ management aspects, the budget items and guidelines were explained.

13 April, 2021

Equipment Purchase list and confirmed Financial identification form sent to the Project coordinator.
Working group meeting- With purpose to improve English language skills, the members translate and present some parts of the project documents.
The  E.2 Quality control and monitoring section  and E.6 Work packages were discussed.

MARCH 2021

01 March, 2021

Working group meeting- WG members introduced data/ information gathered during their visit to the Human development center and Rehabilitation center in Choibalsan.   

 

Working group members organized the Information session for University Administrative Council Members to provide more detailed information about MELINC project.

Online meeting with MNUE and KHOVD working group members- Introducing and discussing about equipment and tools for sensory room at the SEN centers.

09 March, 2021

Mongolian partners meeting on SEN counseling centres establishment and Inclusive Education concepts;

12 March, 2021

Working group meeting- Discussion about significance and issues of the Special Needs Education courses for bachelor’s in Teacher Education programs.

 

Online meeting with D.Tsogzolmaa, (Ph.D) psychologist at  the National Center for Mental Health (MCMH), professor of  Mongolian University of Science and Technology. She provided more information about national policy, diagnosing services provided by NCMH and mostly used in Mongolia child screening software and tools.   

19 March, 2021

Working group members had attended the “EU FUNDED CBHE PROJECTS in MONGOLIA 2021” webinar, organized by the European Union Delegation to Mongolia. The overall goal of the online event was to promote EU funded Erasmus+ projects in Mongolia by increasing the awareness of its impact and benefits among all stakeholders and to share best practices among the Higher education community in Mongolia.

Work group meeting- WG members (B.Enkhtuya, Ts. Ariunzul) introduced about their visit to the secondary school #11, where is recently established a Sensory room.

 

 

23 March, 2021

Working group members attended the Mongolian partners meeting on the procurement and tendering for equipment on the SEN counseling centers and the activation of future collaboration.
WG member Ts. Ariunzul presented Fact finding analyses and program implementation for Inclusive education and Special needs Education at Dornod University.

30 March, 2021

Two representatives (R.Surlegmaa, R.Jargaltuya) attended the Kick-off meeting for all MELINC partner organizations, leaded by project coordinator Gracienne, VUB.

FEBRUARY 2021

Working group meeting- The Part E-Quality of the Project Design and Implementation E.1 Project activities and Methodology section was introduced and explained (R. Surlegmaa).

15 Feb, 2021

Held online discussion with D.Odgerel (MNUE) for selecting equipment and tools for SEN centers. Reviewed the Rompa International catalogue and the offering list from Rehtus company. 

16 Feb, 2021  

Working group meeting- The Part D Relevance of the Project D.1 Why does the consortium undertake this project, the updated SEN center equipment list and the Time sheet and Joint Declaration forms were introduced and discussed (R. Surlegmaa).

17 Feb, 2021

Online meeting with MNUE and KHOVD working group members- Discussion about equipment and tools for visually impaired. 
Online meeting with M.Tsengel, a specialist at the Ulaanbaatar City Public Library and head of the Innovation and Development center for the Visually Impaired. He introduced Digital Accessible Information System (DAISY), DAISY books and digital braille technology.

Working group meeting-  The Part D Relevance of the Project D.2 Aims and objectives, 14 modules introduced (R.Jargaltuya)

24 Feb, 2021  

Working group members (B.Enkhtuya, B.Tsog) introduced about the Reading room services offered by the local Central library for visually impaired people. Also, they gathered some updated information from the local Labor and Social welfare Office on disabled children.

The main project documents were presented to the University Rector and newly appointed two Vice-Rectors.

Jan 11, 2021

The channel or MELINC Erasmus+ 617443-EPP-1-2020-1-BE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP team was created in Microsoft Teams platform with purpose to deliver and exchange information for the P5 project working group members.    

Jan 20, 2021

The kick-off meeting of the project was held and the approved project proposal was delivered to the project working group members. Working group meetings started to held twice a week with regular intervals face-to-face and online.

Jan 22, 2021

Dornod University Rector signed an order and the P5 project working group was established officially. Appointed a P5 project manager (R.Surlegmaa, officer for external relations and cooperation) and working  group members (B.Oyun-Erdene, Vice rector for Academic affairs; Ts.Ariunzul, senior specialist for academic affairs; R.Jargaltua, lecturer; B.Tsog, lecturer and B.Enkhtuya, lecturer)

 Working group meeting- Discussed the E.5 Work plan for Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 and drafted P5 working team plan.

04-30 Jan, 2021

Series of online meetings with D.Odgerel, MNUE and Dorj, Khovd State University. Discussed selecting and updating of equipment and tools purchase list for SEN centers.

19-25 Jan, 2021

From 25 till 29 January 2021, P5 project manager R.Surlegmaa attended the online Grantholders meeting organized in framework of the EU Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education action.  
All information of the meeting were placed in the Teams platform.
